-According to an interview she gave at IGN, Amber Heard will do a number of nude scenes in the upcoming film adaptation of the Bret Easton Ellis novel, The Informers. Previously she had done only very brief nude scenes in Friday Night Lights and Alpha Dog. Here is the excerpt from the interview.

IGN: Does that mean sex and violence for your character?

Heard: She's a bad girl. I play Christie and if I say too much, I'll give away a very important part of the film. She's very wealthy and she represents a very strong evil. She does drugs and is very promiscuous. It's like a Crash-type movie with several different storylines linked by my character.

IGN: Did you have to do many nude scenes?

Heard: Mmm-hmm. And sex scenes.

IGN: Did that bother you?

Heard: Not for the right project. It's my job. Not to be naked, but to tell a story. And if it's important to the story, I don't have any problem with it. I think it's silly the way society puts a high price-tag on the body. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It's sad. Those remnants of religion. I don't appreciate people's conservative views on that. It's less intimidating than you think it is. It's beautiful. It's art. And I'm glad to be a part of it.

-Next up is a film which premiered at Sundance that Mr. Skin missed, Saffron Burrows showing full frontal and ass in Amy (daughter of Robert) Redford's theatrical debut, The Guitar. The film revolves around a woman who indulges herself after finding out she only has months to live. The Guitar contains
three sex scenes involving Burrows, one Isaach De Bankolé, a lesbian scene with Paz De La Huerta, and a thresome with De Bankolé and De La Huerta. There are not a lot of details about the nudity, only this mention from Foxnews.

The magnificent Saffron Burrows — who gives us a little full frontal and a lot of rear exposure — plays the character... a sad, uptight young woman who uses the news to engage in wild sex and unbridled home shopping.

Redford also needed an actor amenable to the film's substantial amount of nudity and sex, both straight and gay. Melody is no shrinking violet, and clothes for her are definitely optional.

She found her Melody in Saffron Burrows, who also has film, TV and stage roles to her credit.

If Burrows had no qualms about the nudity and sex, American film censors might.

Redford didn't take the easy way out there, either.

"The only thing the (censors) really have a problem with is that you see pubic hair. That's the biggest sin. She could have been gang-raped or blown her head off with a gun in close-up and they wouldn't cut it, but a woman's body is a big no-no.

"I feel like the sensuality and the nudity in the story is really about where she's at in her journey. This isn't about exploiting this person; this is about unfolding this person and her rebirth.

-According to a couple of reviews from the Berlin Film Festival, Penelope Cruz shows some nudity in the film Elegy.

The picture, in the running for the Berlinale's Golden Bear top prize, deals with the elusive nature of physical beauty and includes several nude scenes with Cruz, who routinely ranks among the world's most stunning women.

Cruz obliges the director and cinematographer Jean-Claude Larrieu by undressing frequently -- Coixet poses her on a couch naked except for her stiletto shoes -- but the sequences lack the sizzle that Pedro Almodovar would have given them. Not that he would have come within a mile of this story.
